CANCER

Definition

(1) In pathology, a malignant neoplasm; occasional, enzootic or epizootic lesions. The most common cancers are found in target organs (e.g. skin, liver and haematopoietic tissues) and can have a metastatic evolution. They generally correspond to cellular genomic alterations, sometimes associated with viruses or chemicals. (2) CANCER; a genus of decapod crustaceans .
