BLUE-SAC DISEASE

Definition

A disease of sac fry characterized by opalescence of the yolk sac and caused by previous partial asphyxia. In hatcheries, the disease often occurs when insufficient water exchange in incubators leads to low oxygen levels and high carbon dioxide levels.
